The Election Commission has released the results of 257 of the 265 general seats of the National Assembly. 101 independent candidates supported by PTI have been successful.
The Election Commission has released the results of 257 seats out of 265 general seats of the National Assembly. The results of seven seats are yet to come. So far, PTI’s independent candidates have won a maximum of 101 seats.
According to the results, PML-N is second with 78 seats while PP is in third position with 54 seats. On the request of Parvez Elahi’s wife and unsuccessful candidate from NA-64 Qaisara Elahi, the final result of the said constituency has been withheld.
According to the results released by the Election Commission, Muslim League-N has won 78 seats in the National Assembly so far. People’s Party has won 54 seats. MQM Pakistan has won 17 seats, JUI(F) has won 3 seats, while Satwat Pakistan Party and Muslim League-Q have won 2 seats each.
Apart from them, the Pakistan Muslim League (Zia), Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, and the Balochistan National Party have won one seat each in the National Assembly.
On the other hand, the Election Commission summoned Chaudhry Salik Hussain on February 15, withholding the final result on the request of PTI-backed independent candidate Qaisara Elahi from NA-64 Gujarat.
The Election Commission has sought a response from the concerned RO on the application of Qaisara Elahi and directed the Returning Officer to prepare Form 47 in the presence of Qaisara Elahi or her lawyer.
According to the results so far, no party has been able to get a simple majority to form the government and the manipulations by the political parties have started.
